Choice #2 If there were ever to be a zombie apocalypse on this earth, it would take a lot of planning to survive. There are a lot of aspects to think about, and a detailed plan is the best way to be prepared for such an occurrence. My personal plan would be quite elaborate. If the world was invaded by a zombie virus that infected hordes of people, my first step in the plan would be to steal a car (if it is necessary) and drive to the ferry that travels from Northport to my home on Washington Island. Being on a land mass completely surrounded by water would proves to be effective because as far as I know, zombies have been depicted as not being able to swim. Once I have gotten to the island, I would tell everybody about the outbreak if they didn't already know, and that we need to board up and shut down every port or dock that is able to land a boat. If it just so happens that the zombies find a way onto a boat and get onto the heavily barricaded docks, then my plan goes into full effect. I would round up a group of my closest friends, those that I can trust to not get infected, and that I can trust to keep their cool if things do get down and dirty. My father has at least 5 shotguns in his workshop that he has acquired over the years, and he uses them to hunt deer. I would use them to hunt some zombie. My dad is also a carpenter, so his toolbox includes several chainsaws and other sharp instruments that can be used to handle wood. These tools would become my arsenal against the zombie army. In my select group of zombie-killing maniacs, I would make sure each of us had at least one gun, maybe two if they can carry it. One gun to carry and the other on your back just in case. We would each have plenty of ammo strapped to our chests, around our waists, and in sacks on our sides. We would carry thick clothing that would act as armor, and each of us would carry some weapon we could swing around for close combat, a.k.a. a chainsaw, ax, machete, etc. Our band would try our best to protect our families, ourselves, and others on the island from the zombie apocalypse to the best of our ability. If the island got so infected that we were constantly on the run and we were greatly outnumbered, I would direct our team to the grocery store, where we would stock up on food and drink. Then to the hardware store we would go and steal anything that we needed to protect ourselves. Finally, we would take all of our supplies and put them in one of our houses and board up and barricade all of the entrances. There we would stay and fight off the zombies and wait the epidemic out until it ended or all the zombies were gone, which might take a while. I've actually thought about this topic a lot in my own time just for fun, and am convinced that this plan would be successful and evade any kind of zombie apocalypse.
